Easy Slime Recipes

Do you want to make slime for the first time without turning it into an epic fail? Well, I'm here to help you and give you some of my favorite easy recipes for making slime!

How to make: Thick & Glossy Slime

What you'll need:

1 bottle of elmers school glue

1 bottle of elmers clear glue

Unscented lotion

Borax

Water

Bowl

(optional) food dye

Steps:

1.) Start by pouring the whole bottle of elmers school glue into your bowl, then add half of your elmers clear glue bottle into it. Mix both glue mixtures together.

2.) Add three pumps of unscented lotion into your glue mixture. This will make your slime easier to stretch.

3.) Make your activator. To make it you need to dilute one teaspoon of borax into 1 cup of warm water.

4.) Add tiny drops of your activator into your glue mixture and mix it until your glue starts turning into slime. Tip: don't add too much activator at once because this will make your slime turn stiff and hard to stretch.

5.) And ta-daa! You should have made a thick & glossy slime by now (: If your slime turned to be too stiff at the end or has clumps in it, let it sit for a day or two and it should turn super glossy and stretchy. If it's still too stiff, add more unscented lotion to it to soften it up.

How to make: Clear Slime

What you'll need:

1 bottle of elmers clear glue

Borax

Water

A clean bowl

A container with a lid

1.) Start with a super clean bowl, it's crucial that you have a spot-less clean bowl so your clear slime does not get dirty and clears up well.

2.) Pour your bottle of elmers clear glue into your bowl.

3.) Make your activator. To make it you need to dilute one teaspoon of borax into 1 cup of warm water. MAKE SURE YOUR BORAX GETS COMPLETELY MIXED INTO THE WATER AND IT ENDS UP CLEAR.

4.) Add tiny drops of your activator into your glue mixture and mix it until your glue starts turning into slime. Tip: don't add too much activator at once because this will make your slime turn stiff and hard to stretch.

5.) Your slime will end up looking foggy at this point and you'll think you messed up. This is normal! Clear slime is not clear the instant you make it. You have to let it sit in and air-tight container with a lid for 6-10 days for the slime bubbles to rise and your slime to clear up. DO NOT TOUCH YOUR SLIME DURING THE 6-10 DAYS AS THIS WILL SLOW DOWN THE CLEARING PROCESS.

6.) After 10 days you should have clear slime that looks crystal clear and is super fun to play with!
